“Driven by the notion of redefinition, philadelphia-based artist Matthew Cox has created a body of work that combines the traditional medium of embroidery with plastic x-ray films. 

Proportionally true to the body part being pictured, the injection of stitches often depict 

elements of flora in a dreamscape-like scenery.”

Os dejo una breve descripción en inglés de esta artista multidisciplinar porque viene el hombre del seguro a arreglar el cristal de la ventana de mi cuarto que esta totalmente roto, como si le hubieran tirado una piedra, y esos que no tengo pretendientes de eso que tiran piedras a tu ventana en mitad de la noche como en las pelis americanas; así que no sé que C*** a pasado.

The Transylvanian-born Dezsö has embroidered dozens of her mother's sayings and arrayed them along the close-set walls of a maze-like corridor. Each of these small pieces includes neatly stitched diagrams and begins with the statement "My mother claimed that…" followed by such homilies as "…you should not hold back your bowel movement or else the feces will come out through your mouth" and "my sister was a rubber accident." The latter image includes a blue condom surrounded by beaded spermatozoa with wriggling metallic-thread tails.Such homey and intimate details recall Philip Larkin's pithy lament: "They fuck you up, your mum and dad"
