SCHIER SHOES + OPENING CEREMONY

Resulta que lo que en España conocemos como las "pisacacas", un nombre muy bonito, son unos zapatos conocidos en Sudáfrica como velskoens o vellies y fueron creados por primera vez hace 400 años en Namibia. Schier Shoes es una marca que lleva haciendo vellies desde 1935, me parece más cool que "pisacacas", y a día de hoy 8 artesanos locales de Damara se dedican a fabricar cuidadosamente cada zapato a mano, realizando unos 20 pares diarios. Opening Ceremony ha decidido hacer una colaboración con Schier Shoes para la producción de una edición limitada de vellies, renovando el diseño y dándoles toques modernos como el print de leopardo o los colores neón. La campaña no puede ser más bonita y a parte de que las fotos son geniales, desprende muy buen rollo.

KARLA SPÊTIC

Karla Spêtic es una de mis diseñadoras favoritas. Es joven y todavía no muy conocida, sobretodo en España, pero desde que la sigo no me ha defraudado ni una sola vez. Tiene un gusto exquisito, una manera de combinar estampados y colores increíbles, un estilo hiperfemenino (como a mi me gusta) y sabe utilizar los colores pasteles como nadie. Nadie puede quedarse indiferente ante su estilo tan minimalista, delicado, femenino y colorido a la vez.

Y aquí os dejo su colección Spring Summer 2012 en la que combina azul marino con verde lima, naranja y rosa:

Mañana empiezo el curso intensivo de un mes de hazte un jersey con Diarte en Blackoveja . Tengo muchísimas ganas, seguro que va a ser muy productivo y divertido, y además conoceré por fin la tienda de Blackoveja .

Tomorrow I start an intensive course called "make a jersey" with the knitwear brand Diarte in Blackoveja shop. I´m very excited about it and I am sure it is going to be very productive and a lot of fun, also I will meet the blackoveja shop finally.

02. Thesis: COLLECTION

This is the selection I made from the Collection dossier which I divided into two different images.

In the first one you can see introduction that describes the collection, the moodboard for the collection and the research I made about the history and development of the textile techniques I used to make this collection.

And in the second photo you can see the 18 looks of the collection, then some of them and its technical drawing and the speec sheets.

To show the looks individualy, I made different backgrounds with the patterns I designed for this collection.

Cuestión de pelos

En la web sobre tendencias entre los alumnos de mi universidad, encontré un post dedicado al tema pelos en el que aparecía un collage y en el que salía la guapísima Ana B. que ejerció de modelo para mi tesis. 

Es la foto redondeada. En la foto aparece con turbante de punto tejido y confeccionado por mi, y con camisa de algodon teñida y bordada a mano también por mi. 

Espero que os guste. En el próximo post os enseñaré mi tesis por fin.

Thesis, Fashion design final project- Moodboard I

Autumn/Winter moodboard

For my thesis(final project), I created a pret-a-porter brand called SICRE which is based in textile research and experimentation, with a naif and romantic soul.

I developed a collection inspired on the impressionist painting of Monet and the galaxi and mixed it in a collection by using embroideries, prints, beads,knitting... to make a rich collection that represents the flowers and shine of galaxy by the textile treatment.

And here is the moodboard that shows the inspiration for this colection.

Me encantan las campañas de Vanessa Bruno. Las fotos son maravillosas, los colores, las localizaciones, mujeres con personalidad fuerte....

Estas imágenes corresponden a la campaña de otoño-invierno 2010/2011 y debajo os dejo el video de la campaña que es precioso y la música también; aunque puede que me gustase más el de primavera-verano 2010, que ya puse en su momento.
